Our Heat Shrink Polyester Tubing Capabilities

05/09/2011
PPG produces many spiral-wound tubes, including heat shrink polyester sleeving. Heat shrink polyester film made in the spiral-wound process uses special adhesives as a bonding agent. Uniquely formulated, this adhesive is chemically similar to the polyester film. The thermoplastic adhesive softens when heat is applied to permit homogenized fit, and becomes stable at shrinking temperature and below after the sleeving has shrunk to the desired size.

Other characteristics of our dependable heat shrink polyester:
  • ID: between 0.026" to 2.500"
  • Wall thickness: 0.0015" to 0.12" Note: there are limitations for smaller diameters
  • Length: Up to 36"
  • Sleeving can be fabricated in opaque, clear, and striped colors
